School is Over

This was an amazing year and an amazing class of seniors in Advanced Art. Everyone of these students will be majoring or minoring in Art in the Fall. I am very proud of every single one of them. They are outstanding students who made this year one of the best in my teaching career!

iAssignment

If you have an opinion...

One of the questions that we teachers have been faced with as of late...

Should students be allowed cell phones in the classroom?

So, students it is your turn...what do you think?

Art in High School

Ponder this...do you think that it is more important for student artist to concentrate learning the basic foundations of drawing while in high school or should they have the ability to try samplings of several different types of art to find a passion?

All I can say is...WOW

The high school musical, Seussical, was this weekend....WOW! The kids were incredible. I will be adding pictures soon! They were just super! Their hair (my favorite), their costumes and their outstanding singing

and dancing made it the best musical that I have ever seen them put on.....ever. The kids laughed, because I cried in the middle of the play Saturday night. Who cries in the middle of a Dr. Seuss play????? ME! I couldn't help it, I was just floored by the sheer talent of the students. Congratulations Mr. Lynch on an amazing cast of performers. I don't know how you do it! I look forward to next year!

The day is finally here!

Many of my students are in Seussical and they are quite excited! Here a few pictures of them getting into costume yesterday! A few are a little blurry! There was so much going on!

Seussical

This year's PHS Drama production directed by Mr. Lynch will begin tomorrow in the high school gym. Students have been working very hard for the past several months and their efforts show! This year the PHS art department was able to work with them in creating the sets! It was a very exciting and difficult job, but the students as always came through! The sets look great!
